DDP vs Goldberg Halloween Havoc, if there was ever a time for the streak to end it was then. Instead WCW said fukk it lets kill our company.

breh I was getting sick and tired of that Goldberg streak. IMO, instead of having Nash ending it for no reason, they should have just had DDP end it, and you can just make him a heel easily. I was really angry with how the Invasion/nWo was handled.

Also hated how Hogan almost always went over Flair. I think there were four matches in a row, including at Halloween Havoc, where Hogan went over Flair for no reason other than political.

I don't know how accurate these numbers are, but supposedly Flair was 2-12 against Hulk in tag matches and 11-65 in singles matches with 9 coming by DQ or countout (as of 2003).

I think that bookers never fully got what they could have potentially out of Hogan-Flair

Flair's sidekick Arn defeated Hulk before Ric did didn't he? WCW blew that one IMO

That's what every smart person would do, but B!tchoff cared more about the ratings than about PPV buyrates and money. Goldberg was probably the most popular if not close to the most popular wrestler in the game during the spring/summer of 1998, and DDP was on the come up too, so if you look at it, WCW had there answer to Austin and Rock with Goldberg and DDP, who also had the angle with Malone & Rodman and the Jay Leno feuds, and WCW was still competitive in 1998, and Ric Flair returning in the fall of 1998 if I remember correctly defeated Raw in the ratings that Monday night, but they just had to mess that up too. WCW had everything working for themselves, but they just couldn't capitalize on it.

Tonight when I was watching SmackDown, what I thought was Cena-less programming.

Really, any time someone wins the RR, coming in at 28-30, who wasn't even suppose to be in it. It's like fighting 11 rounds and someone's tells the 2 fighters, "we're adding this guy to the last round...and he's fresh (not tired) but warmed up, good luck".
