Eazy E, Shuge knight on the west, Luke down in Miami, Russell Simmons & Diddy up north? Ol boy from the Bay?

It’s hard to give one person credit seems like there was key players in every region.
They all made white people some money, yes

But P was fully independent and cut deals only for distribution. Notice how no no limit artists are out here begging for money and dissing P over contracts :sas2:

then why did Master P wash out of the game broke?

P was also sharing bar codes on albums to boost sales and putting up fake plaques. Notice how the label had a hard time getting it's catalogue on streaming. all the bullshyt he was pulling caught up. from outright copying songs to interpolations. stealing hooks. he never anticipated the internet era. P was bowing out by 99 with the last don for a reason. looking for a ball contract :mjlol:

his mythology is such bullshyt. he got a check from family and then started a label copying everyone he was around in the west then the south and still went bust.

Has anyone ever heard of Ruthless Records... Eazy and Jerry in 87 independent putting up plaques.. long before P and around the same time as Prince but even better. Ruthless scared the whole industry. they were putting up major numbers before any other independent. somehow Eazy got written out of the hip hop independence story for this goof P. I suspect because of Jerry Heller...Just because no limit artists are not speaking up doesn't mean they good. P himself isn't set. Their tour was a disaster and their music don't stream well because of the back in the day shenanigans.

P is NOTORIOUS for giving DJ's a "package" and suddenly C-Murder's getting love all over the airwaves.

Master Payola.
there you go.

the more people find out about his legacy the more it's just smoke and mirrors.

he tried to do that on soundcloud buying farm streams and got exposed horribly.

people fail to realize P just ran out scams to pull in rap he didn't retire :mjlol:

Why are southern dudes so insecure in rap? Like dudes got their bread and accolades already and always remind you that rap to them is a "hustle" so why are people like master P trying take credit for something they didn't do?

Dre (west), Russell/Diddy/Jay (east) did what they did and was way more successful. But you’re right it’s like the south always harping on the past.
