This is what was happening at Six Flags AstroWorld throughout the late 90s and early 2000s. That place lost a lot of money. Families stopped going on big holiday time.

The Six Flags over implemented under 18 years old have to be accompanied by parents or guardians. That should be the nationwide standard.

It was always like that to a degree, but the fights usually didn’t last very long. Just crowds of kids from all over the metro, including rival neighborhoods and projects.

It felt like everybody let a lot more things slide back then because they came to have fun, overall. Now they seem to crash out on sight. Even if we jumped somebody or got jumped, it wasn’t all of us; we/they kept it proportionate.

Fright Night was when all the craziest bs happened. I can’t imagine how the summer will be if this is opening night.

The fukked up thing is, back during all the crazy violence of the 90’s, they had a chance to get away with a lot. These kids have next to no chance of getting away because of surveillance and cell towers. On top of all that they’re hell bent on documenting everything and their involvement through TikTok/IG/SC footage.

They don’t seem to consider anything beyond what’s happening in front of them in the moment, even though there’s decades of examples of consequences. They just don’t think about tomorrow until theirs’ and others’ lives are destroyed. You can see the shock and regret in some of their mugshots.
