This argument is stupid. Video games don’t make normal people kill people but for people that are mentally unhinged or close to being mentally unhinged, playing violent games when you get to murder 50 people by minute is probably not a good thing. Some of cats practice their future murderous acts and strategy simply by playing COD and other first person shooting games. We’ve always had guns. Why weren’t crazy cacs shooting up movie theaters and shopping centers every week back in 1940? It’s no different than 13 Reasons Why and other movies and shows focusing on suicide putting out disclaimers because they know it will influence people on the edge to kill themselves. Even if 99% of people aren’t induced to murder anyone in real life from these violent games, you not gonna tell me the crazy fukks out here aren’t being further emboldened by them. To show you how fukked up those games are, what if there was a game where you could rape people and live out other sick fantasies?
Rape and other crimes are no different than murder
I’m sure none of the usual defenders would be arguing that it’s “just a game”. And tons of weirdos would be attracted to a game like that. In the same fashion they love practicing to kill on the shooting games. It’s silly to pretend there’s not a large contingent of people doing that.
or the Black man at the Tennessee Wafflehouse who fought the shooter. I believe a black man protected people in the Orlando shooting too or maybe another shooting. It’s been too many to remember
