We've had the same gun laws since the country was founded. Yet the high frequency of mass shootings is a recent phenomenon. It's not the law that's the problem. It's something else.

Weapons capable of mass shootings haven’t been in the country since the beginning.

We’ve had internal revolts since the beginning but those were usually against the government for policy. Not other citizens for existing.
