I actually started playing this again.

I wonder if we’ll ever get a new Mass Effect game

Probably now and that’s sad.

The biggest mistake this company BioWare did was to get too ambitious and leave that exclusive Microsoft umbrella to go to that EA multiplat umbrella.

shyt really never been the same since they left.

EA don’t care about them and never did like Microsoft did, their only hope would be to beg EA sell them back and beg MS to buy them

What? :dwillhuh:

The trilogy was released under EA’s stewardship.

I’m so confused by this post :dwillhuh:

Trilogy?:usure:

There were 4 ME games.:gucci:

The first one was before EA

EA didn’t come into the picture till the second game though that was well on its way regardless.

Then 3 and 4 dropped well under their realm and was around the time all the polarization started about the game.

Then Anthem

Everyone for the most part always loved ME 1 and 2

For the record I overall enjoyed my time with ME 3 and 4 cuz I was always a fan of the Shepherd story and wanted to see the conclusion. And ME4, it was like I was starving and wanted anything ME no matter that scraps I got.

But I will acknowledge there are problems, I can’t deny that and a lot of folks HATED the latter too.

Hell literally the tag on this thread says “Flab Effect”

Why are you telling me that there are four mass effect mainline games? :dwillhuh:

I made reference to the Trilogy because you positioned the potential non existence of another Mass Effect game after Andromeda as a byproduct of EA owning BioWare. You made a correlation with the supposed the decline of the series and EA’s presence, when in reality EA has been there for majority of the ride. Hence “I’m confused :dwillhuh:

Mass Effect 2 (my favorite of the series) came out in 2010. EA acquired BioWare in 2007. Again, the trilogy for the most part, and the peak in my personal view, was under EA’s stewardship

I don’t like EA as much as the next guy but maybe BioWare just got flabby :yeshrug:

See, I looked that up....... for from what I saw.

ME 1 came out 2007

EA acquired them afterwards.

like literally I still have all the games and my ME 1 doesn’t have an EA logo on the case or title screen.

EA did have them by 2, but from what I recall a lot of development and shyt on that game had been going on with it without them. So that game dropped as it was.

shyt seems like it came off the rails a little at 3, 4, then we see what happened to Anthem

So the only trilogy technically EA can claim is 2,3, & 4.

But no one wasn’t an EA game

Mass Effect 1 was in development since 2004 and was first shown in 2005 iirc. The year it released Bioware was bought by EA so it was already finished. Same for Dragon Age Origins which was already in development since 2004 and released in 2009 after EA bought them.

Saw this after I posted my last post. I don’t know then maybe all this news is fuzzy. I’m literally seeing from ME 2 on is EA and on my PHYSICALLY copy of ME 1, there are no EA logos or association on it.

Who knows.

I don’t know if it’s a reading comprehension thing, but I didn’t state ME1 was developed under EA. My statement was the trilogy was released under EA’s stewardship.

Microsoft published the first game the same year EA acquired BioWare. But a non dev-owning publisher seldom has any say in a IP they don’t even own.

I then further elaborated here:

l made reference to the Trilogy because you positioned the potential non existence of another Mass Effect game after Andromeda as a byproduct of EA owning BioWare. You made a correlation with the supposed the decline of the series and EA’s presence, when in reality EA has been there for majority of the ride. Hence “I’m confused :dwillhuh:

EA has been there for majority of the ride including my personal peak.

You can’t just “Lol EA” or “The love Microsoft showed BioWare was the reason...because the biggest mistake BioWare did was getting too ambitious and deciding to go under the multi platform” this conversation.

That’s not applicable here and makes no sense in this context, thus the confusion that post caused me :dwillhuh:

Studios get complacent and talent leave. Happens all the time.

There are rumors of a supposed trilogy remaster. If true, and if it does well, I can only hold hope for a potential new instalment in the series. Mass Effect universe is probably my favorite fictional universe of any entertainment medium.

If not, just gotta hope that someone picks up the baton with an adequate clone :francis:
