Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut Gets Release Date, Audio Interview | EGMNOW

For those of you unhappy with the ending to Mass Effect 3, BioWare’s apology is almost here. Today, the developer announced the released date for the free Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut DLC, as well as an audio interview talking about the additions players will be getting.

According to the announcement today, “the Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut DLC is a downloadable content pack that will expand upon the events at the end of Mass Effect 3. Through additional cinematic sequences and epilogue scenes, the Extended Cut will include deeper insight to Commander Shepard’s journey based on player choices during the war against the Reapers.”

Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut will be a free download for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC players. All platforms will get the DLC on June 26th in North America; worldwide, the Xbox 360 and PC versions will hit on June 26th, while the PS3 version will come on July 4th. The full download size for the Extended Cut will be 1.9GB.

Something tells me this DLC is only gonna make things worse. They gonna add a few more colors to the endings?

i dont know how to feel about this, I'm not sure if i would even download the ending after the way the first game ended. up to the last 10 mins that was one of the best video game experiences i ever had, and that they started fukking around and for me ruined it. I played mass 1 and mass 2 over 5 times each, havent even gone back to the 3rd one. bioware

Yeah, ending was mad disappointing. I played and grew with my character over the course of 3 games. And I don't even know what effect my choices had on the universe. It makes all of my over 100 hours play time worth nothing.

I've been a Mass Effect fan from the very beginning like a lot of people and even with the ending Mass Effect 3 is still one of the greatest games I've ever played, mostly because of the emotional attachment involved for the characters throughout the 3 so everything felt so much more.. important they did fukk up no doubt but thats really where the hatred comes in.

Cot damn man, i just came back from NeoGaf and they over there talking like ME3 is the worst game in the past 20 years. shyt, how does one become so jaded and bitter? You would think Bioware sent goons to fukk their moms or something. They been giving out free DLC left and right to an already fantastic game and its still nothing but anger over there.

it was all good till i found out a requirement to see these new endings is to load a save file from before the attack on the Cerberus base at the end of the game then play straight through the end of the game. this means you gotta redo the final mission and that insane final sequence with all the super enemies.
