Side note, how many games did the Raptors carry Kawhi over the finish line this playoffs? Of course he bailed us out so many times but what goes unmentioned is all the times he was utterly hobbling and crippled and someone stepped up on his behalf. That’s the only reason if I was Kawhi I would feel like I owed the Raptors a run back. Ibaka Van Vleet Siakam Lowry all played their career best while Gasol played at his DPOY level with a rookie coach. If he wasn’t a robotic sociopath he would have respected how hard these dudes went for him. They closed out every game for him except Game 7 in Philly. Every other last minute was decided by another Raptor. That’s FACTS

yep it was fred van vleet who won game 6 and was hitting big shots the whole series., I know the narrative of the american media is like kawhi was will smith and everyone just stood around doing nothing

but it ws false this raptor core has won the second most games in the nba the past 5 years

me neither but its going to be straight defense
basically if you dont play defense you won't get minutes on this team

just curious where will the points come from, losing kawhi and dany is like 35 points a night

It''s going to be hard to replace those guys. Don't know if OG and Powell will take that next step, but they'll probably be starting for us next season.

I have a feeling Nurse is just going to run a lot of strange lineups out there since this is basically an experimental year and it's going to really piss us off

I'm a fan of Lance too. I was really hoping they'd sign a legit 4 like JaMychal Green to the rest of the MLE to backup Pascal. I like Boucher, but he got pushed around by 19 year old Alen Smailagic last night...he still needs a lot of work.

He was great in the Philly and Milwaukee series but he was NOT a superstar in the Finals and our support helped him..Game 6 he was the 4th best player on our team thats a fact :yeshrug:

As good as he was offensively for the most of the playoffs Gasol was as much of a reason we beat Philly as he was....HIs defense on Embiid is no less than the biggest reason we won that series....the narrative that he dragged a group of bums to a ring is just american biased non sense...

You have to spend 90 percent of the cap I can see it happening

I’d love for Lowry to retire here

Toronto as a city is horrible for guys to retire here, carter, Alomar, sundin, Bautista, none of these guys retired here

I’d love for at least one prominent person from our championship year to retire here and it deserves to be Lowry
Retire his and Derozan jersey in the same ceremony

pretty much i still say if you replaced kawhi with any other top ten player the result would have been the same
this raptors squad is very talented

Looks like an interesting 3+D guy.

Only two roster spots left if we count Boucher and Miller's non-guaranteed contracts. One two-way spot left (Jordan Loyd taking up the other two-way spot). Sagaba Konate is signed to a exhibit 10 deal, so he could possibly be the other two-way guy.

Probably Powell. Thomas will probably fit better with the bench. That bench is going to struggle to score and shoot with both RHJ and Stanley Johnson out there.
