Could have made some moves if Paul George was a malcontent could have

Now we have nothing

When that quad acts up though

:to:

Kawhi or no Kawhi, they did not have the cap room to make any moves.

Get a hold of yourself breh, gotdamn

Back to scouting.

I wonder if Masai will entertain Kyle, Serge, and Gasol trades now. Our team just got really old really quick.

Edit: Was Paul George really on the market? Hmm maybe he was only willing to play in LA with Kawhi so no other team would have known.

The quad injury is a little concerning if it is degenerative. They might’ve avoided something serious there if it’s really degenerative

Interested to see if they’ll be able to load manage him in LA

I imagine they won’t want to take any long term salaries back either, so that makes trading a little more difficult.

If the goal is Giannis, they better not wish too hard. He'd be turning down more money than Kawhi turned down. Close to 80 million?

I know some players aren't about the money, but that's A LOT to turn down.

Yeah I just don’t know if they even get anything attractive for those three. They should at least try to get some assets back for one of Gasol or Ibaka.

My only issue is I wish he made his decision sooner. He wasn’t coming here so tell Masai so we can go into free agency and make some signings. Now we have to wait till next year after all the hype dies down and we’re a bubble team.

But Kawhi made it clear he didn’t want to be here so why folk surprised?

I didn’t buy a single thing. I know hype the second I see it. Those boardman shirts looking retarded now :mjlol:
We have no cap space, only could’ve paid to retain our guys. It was boom ( sign same roster back in whole) or bust ( lose Kawhi and Green and rebuild in a year with contracts off books)

It would’ve been great to have another run, but we could’ve easily been wondering what is next after we got eliminated in second round again with Demar and Masai fired this summer with his long contract and bad cap situation. Now it’s just back to building something with some pieces and decent contract situation.

I can’t believe some people were saying we were better off keeping DeMar in that other thread. You gotta be fukking insane to believe that. The talent and ability between DeMar and a legitimate top 5 player is so wide, you’d have to be retarded to not make that trade even if they didn’t win the championship

Look at the deals that were made for PG and AD this summer, and they’re swinging for a chance in the loaded west. Masai traded a guy that he couldn’t trust long term, Jakob and Keldon Johnson for a championship. He didn’t have to give up 7 first rounders like both LA teams. Anyway you cut it, it was worth it
