Can't really justify this. Having the doors closed and instead of having the baskets passed, making people publicly come to the alter to give offering is a form of public shaming to those who can't or won't and he knew exactly what he was doing.

I went to a church with an ex girlfriend and they pulled a stunt like this. I don’t remember if they locked the doors or anything lol. Needless to say I never went to that church ever again.
So he closed the doors to prevent a potential robbery... But the robbery still took place
