First episode put me to sleep.
Off episode 1, this has the potential to be the best Disney + original. This series has the least amount of reliance on nostalgia or it's ties to upcoming tentpole films. I'm more than down for an espionage action/thriller. This is Disney+ tho, so I might have to temper my expectations on the thriller part. I also might have to set my ceiling for social commentary at what we saw in this episode. Comic book readers know how Sam Wilson's turn as Cap went with the incel community. I doubt Disney is willing to alienate that demographic by keeping it really real. Action was on point and almost on par with Cap 2. I really want to see Anthony Clarence Mackie win. He's been a sidekick for too long. Hopefully he does his thing here.
Finally, @mainmiddleman claims that the first MCU X-Men movie will focus on “social issues about minorities,” which makes sense since Mutants have always served as a metaphor for minorities and the way society mistreats them.
Eh. Only because Sam gave back the Shield. Bucky is a mentally unstable mess. Sam just needs more confidence. One can be sorted out in 6 episodes the other can't.Yeah I get it
shyt ain't going good this way either tho
That Scene where Bucky realized he murked the old man’s son during his winter soldier days.
Bucky great for the fukkery thoughEh. Only because Sam gave back the Shield. Bucky is a mentally unstable mess. Sam just needs more confidence. One can be sorted out in 6 episodes the other can't.
this is why they are tv shows you can do the backstory
this is the most i've seen of falcon out of his suit and not saying cap
It’s funny cuz just a few weeks ago in the WandaVision thread. After the ep that revealed Monica and they showed basically how it was when people returned from the Snap.
I remember some posters like “bu bu bu but why ain’t they show more scenes from the people’s perspective that came back? We need to see more backstory on folks lives in the aftermath or how they dealing with everything”
Well hell?
Wasn’t that what spider-man 2 was about? I don’t think theres anything wrong with going into their backstories, i mean it’s a tv show thats to be expected but that doesn’t mean their personal lives gotta be so glum either.
Bucky playing checkers with an old man and going on dates....
Sam trying to save the shrimp boat... I mean? It’s not really as entertaining as being trapped in a altered reality with your dead android boyfriend reliving your childhood tv shows.
OMG. Some of y’all are really slow. He got denied because of the loan because of racism. It’s Disney shyt. They’re not going to explicitly say, “fukk you, ******!” The banker even automatically assumed he was a football player . You gotta read context and meta messages. He’s not broke. He’s just not rich. There’s a difference.
Maybe.... but Spider-Man 2 was about Spider-Man and things around him and his perspective
That ain’t got nothing to do with Sam & Buck? They ain’t even in high school
Niccas said they wanted more ground and real realty shyt. That’s what this show so far is. And damn I’m sure it’s gonna be enough murders and explosions.
But since it’s a series, I don’t think it’s a big deal showing that these guys ain’t Falcon and Winter Soldier 24/7

If I’m being honest Steve isn’t that interesting outside of jumping off buildings and knocking nikkas heads in either i guess. All that “Steve you need to date” shyt in winter soldier was the worst parts of the movie.
