So, based on the responses for this show in comparison to Wandavision as the series went on, y'all think the good folks at The House of Mouse are gonna run this show back for a season 2?

Or is it a one and done? :jbhmm:

One and done, as it should be.

I don't think Sam or Bucky will leave this experience still being Falcon or The Winter Soldier. So even if they center another show around them it won't have the same name or be a season 2.

Great episode. Isaiah Bradley :wow:

Not sure what the coli consensus is but I think John Walker is one of the best new MCU characters in a minute. It's like you hate him and disagree with his actions, but on a base level you can understand why he snapped. In a weird way he's almost like an Anakin Skywalker type of character that might not have been that bad if he was in a different circumstance.

I'm of two sides with Walker. He's great, and compelling television in a trainwreck way, but I'm also annoyed because some people are playing the sympathy card for yet another unhinged White male character(much like Punisher, Walt White. D-Fens,Kylo Ren.etc). I definitely would have lovde to see how the discourse on social media would have gone if Walker was a Black man lol.

I guess it depends on the timeline between his fight with Sam and his discharge. The series plays fast & loose with the time aspect.

He wasn’t wearing it in the post credit scene.

Even with accelerated healing i’m sure a broken bone would still need a few weeks to fully heal. With the Mutants showing up sooner rather than later they definitely need to differentiate levels of healing because Wolverine I believe is the fastest healer.

I thought Deadpool's was even faster than Wolverine's? Then again, I'm going off the knowledge of the first Deadpool movie, so... :mjlol: I still have a lot to dig through with the Marvel lore.

They both have handicaps. iirc, Logan's is stronger, but his body is also constantly fighting off adamantium poisoning. So, when Magneto pulled the jack move and Wolverine was back to bone claws, his healing was crazy. That being said, Deadpool's healing is constantly fighting off cancer as well. it was an easy trope back then to try and give the illusion of mortality to these healing factor folks. But... it's never consistent. Wolverine has regrown his whole body from a skeleton in one comic, just to get laid up for days off a Sabertooth fade - shyt's all over the place.

But yeah... the timeline in a lot of this is very, very loose. What happens when they insist on doing these Marvel shows with rotating writing and directing staff

Best episode so far, is ANYONE hyped for Sam/Buck vs Carli? :mjlol:

Walker completely stole whatever spark that wack ass kid and her scared ass goons had as villains.
The pandemic forcing them to change the script hurt the flag smasher story the most and I'm curious if she survives this series. I have a feeling they may keep her locked up at the raft as well so they can continue building a new villain team. IF she dies though Walker more than fills that void:yeshrug:

How is this show “black shyt” if this is black shyt because it has a black lead then the black elements should be criticized.

nobody gives a fukk about Falcona sister atall and that’s because the writing is lazy and poor.
The boat storyline is dumb as hell
Falcon getting stopped by the cops and then not recognizing him is dumb
The older black super soldier is a lazy plot device.

those flaws are supposed to be ignored because the show has some decent action scenes? All the positive fan response I’ve seen is towards Bucky’s development
Sam is literally the only avenger we know anything about there family life, that doesn't involve potential other meta or super hero's.

MCU 1st character with actual DEPTH, if this show doesn't do anything for you then it's clear you only want explosions, actions, super powers, and conspiracy theories

All those things that happen go into why SAM feels like he has to go forward and at lest try to be captain America, it also shows why he's worthy of being mantle captain america and US Agent wasn't.

And Isiah's viewpoint is how MANY if not most black people feel about america, when he told Sam no self respecting black man would pick up that shield I felt that. Imagine your great great gandfather that was a slave or war vet gets mistreated and locked up and you tell them you are going to serve your represent america and they tell you that.. It takes a certain type of person to go forward and still want to protect, represent and change things.

The black super soldier isn't something they made up it's literally from the comic's. This was the perfect time to acknowledge it in the MCU, to skip over it, and then do the whole US agent plot line would be very whack. If you gonna touch on pretty much all things cap throw all the relevant cap stuff in there (more soon coming with the black widow movie I'm sure)

Comments like this tell me you either aint black or you black and feel you gotta push back at everything that touches on black subjects.

The boat storyline is common place as someone that says here in louisiana, tug boats and finishing boats here in louisiana are some peoples livelihood.
Falcon getting stopped by the cops and then not recognizing him is common place also among black people getting stopped and cops not recognizing them until they get some id or someone points it out.
The black cap story I already mentioned.

Viper has to be making an appearance soon because her and Val are rivals

Lol nothing you explained needs to be explained, the show isn’t vague atall in its presentation.

my problem is with the execution and quality of dialogue, if it’s working for you that’s great. I think it’s really ho-hum, stale writing with no real heart put into anything anybody says.

feels like I’m watching Agents of Shield with social commentary lazily thrown in.

nobody needs you to explain that black folks getting stopped by cops or struggling with family businesses is common place, obvious well known tropes

The way I looked at it is Fontaine is basically an even more morally flexible Nick Fury and they're reverse engineering the Avengers.

Walker is their Cap
Zemo - seemingly having a bunch of money - looks to be their Stark.
I don't know if Abomination is coming back for She-Hulk, but he'd probably be a good pick for their version of Hulk, unless they're going all in on Ross.
Loki - post his own show could be their Thor.

I'm just shooting in the dark though :manny:

Theories :blessed::mjgrin:
