ep. 5 is reported to be over 1 hour. that means that we still have a film length of story to be told between ep's 5 & 6.

which is good given all the open plot points.

i think some will just be left for the relevant next MCU product. spellmann said TFATWS will lead into 3 other shows/films.

The cat playing John Walker is a good actor. He's even getting death threats from people in the real world.

Kind of feel bad for his character. That look of astonishment and disbelief when Lamar got killed hit different. He's genuinely trying to do the best you can but, he's just falling short.

The scene with Bucky in the beginning was also deep

For the first time like ever (EVER), I feel like I want to watch the first Captain America movie

That's one good thing these Marvel shows do. They generate interest in older movies in the MCU.

Does anyone think Walker will give up the shield willingly and become US Agent or will the government force him to give it up after killing that Flag Smasher?

I expect that the people will turn on him but government will remain on his side since he's "their" guy.

I also don't believe they picked him for the reasons we were told.

In Walker's defense, Cap has killed people on screen too.

I also don't believe they picked him for the reasons we were told.

They (the government) picked him for the same reasons they picked Steve.

They wanted a propaganda tool that they could control. Obviously being that he's Steve, trying to control him and set his ethics aside to do the governments bidding without question didn't work out too well.

Walker was supposed to smile, wave and put a friendly face on imperialism, he fukked that up. But he's still a very valuable asset to someone like general Ross and much more concerned with being a good soldier than a good man, especially now.

I feel like the government is going to try to clean this up by stating that the guy was a terrorist and responsible for killing people. Hell, his partner was a government agent, got slumped a couple minutes prior by another member of the terrorist group.

It definitely looks ugly but there's the possibility for there being a divide when it comes to public opinion about what happened.

Very grey.
