He's actually a very interesting character. He's a tweener character like Winter Soldier but he has more layers.
He's who the Homelander character in The Boys is based off of. He's Captain America with a unhealthy, ruthless, psychotic patriotism. He's usually a good guy when the government has good intentions, but that's a case by case basis.
In the comics they send him to Iraq or whatever countries the US are at war with at the time because that's the only place where that kind of mentality is actually beneficial. Every time he's in the US he's always getting into something
Hes Been a personal favorite since he was introduced as the psychotic Captain America back in mark gruenwalds run. The good guy going bad trope may have been overdone but I thought here it worked.
Having him watch as the watchdogs kill his parents in front of his eyes, Then descend into a murderous lunatic all while rocking caps colors was disturbing. But i liked it, That whole Captain America No More storyline is great.
