They didn't say why in the episode, but in the comics it was because he stole the Captain America uniform before going into battle.

I like the story of the little rebel group not wanting the people who were in power before the blip back in power. This is something i never would have thought about.

New Captain America has a face that says folks couldnt resist putting him on his ass a time or two. Thing is i expected to hate him right off the bat but he aint been that bad really.

Naw, that was a white school when he was there. They dropped that when the news anchor said "how does it feel to be back here after so much has changed". Same thing happened to my high school, graduating classes of 97 and earlier were 80% white, 99 and after 80% black. White people will leave an area in a fukking hurry. Plus if i remember correctly one side of the stadium was younger black people (current demographics) and the other side was older white people (former demographics).

Does anyone know if this new "Captain America" is supposed to stick around after this show and get into the movies or is he going to be a show only deal?

Great episode. Loved Isaiah Bradley & that he fought WS!Bucky. Some intense, emotional scenes & I'm actually sympathetic to the cause of the villains. Post-blip sounds like a shytshow for a lot of people. I have questions though! Like how in the hell are Sam & Bucky just gonna waltz into a maximum security prison to talk to Zemo? And I need more information about the government's treatment of Isiah. That's a whole series in itself that needs to be made. The whole cop confrontation scene was nicely done. I've heard others call it clumsy & poorly paced, but that shyt happens. I also like how they had Walker smoozing with public with his black side- kick. Great meta nod & statement.

I think it's interesting how some people are calling the race/racism depictions forced and pandering. They're willing to believe in supersoldiers and government corruption, but draw the line on depicting racism. lol. fukking priceless.

The director made some interesting comments about them recently.

She said TFS vs "the rest of society" are like "society" vs "MAGA", in that MAGA want to roll the system back, just like post blip there are those who just rolled the system back to what it was pre-blip. TFS wanted to keep the system as it was, how it had changed (although this is open to the opposite interpretation as well).

TFS are not "bad guys" IMO.
