IMO, that's why Zemo comes into play.

This nikka is basically Billy Butcher with a little more class lol, Buck wants to kill him for what he did to T'chaka, believe that. But by the time he and Sam hook up, they're gonna be looking into the flag smashers and probably using him for intel. And he'll be eager to help because he wants to stop more super powered individuals from being created, he might even become somewhat of anti-hero in this show.

Just finished the ep

Their being heavy handed with the pandering. Sam and Bucky get stopped by cops RIGHT as they leave Isiah’s house to nail the point HOME that Isaiah & Sam face similar treatment as black men in both the past & present. Cool but it feels inauthentic.

I told everyone last week that Sam’s hero’s journey was going to end with him accepting that as a black man in America, he not only can, but SHOULD take up the mantle of Captain America. They set the foundation for just that this episode so i’m looking forward to it.

New Cap has JUST the right amount of old school earnestness and new school bravado that makes him a potentially good character. He WANTS to be like and live up to the mantra that Steve Rogers set. But he’a a product of a new world. Not only that, he seems to have been born a normal human man whereas Steve was sickly and slightly deformed. Walker never had to face the lifelong adversity that Steve did, which always made Steve feel like an underdog. When Steve was granted the Super Soldier serum it unlocked what he truly COULD be. Whereas granting Walker the Shield only enhances who he already IS.

In the end he’ll fail to live up to what it means to be Captain America, because even though he’s acting humble, he truly believes that he already embodies those ideals. Sam will be the perfect Captain America because he’ll REDEFINE those ideals into a truly inclusive and diverse mantra.

Bucky...whatever:yeshrug:

I'm not complaining at all, breh. But this just feels like some shyt the government would do once the optics of the situation and how they did Sam got back to them. They'd try to pander to black people, surround Cac'tan America with an all black supporting cast so to speak to try and soften the blow and make it easier to accept the situation, no matter how foul it is.

No name Black men get stopped on the regular for doing absolutely nothing, but you call a high profile Black man who is likely seen as a potential agitator getting stopped "pandering" and "inauthentic"?:mjpls::comeon: It's a wonder they aren't both harassed more. If Sam lived in VA or Mississippi, do you know many troopers would be tagging him every time he left the house? I got people who get stopped weekly here. That's not pandering, thats real.
