"Marvel's Spider-Man" new animated series

t's EASILY better than the 90s one and you know my love for spider-man. The animation style is a preference but the actual animation itself, in terms of fluidity of movement, character expressions, and the acrobatics are way beyond the 90s show also. And that's because the 90s show had to reuse a lot of stuff and blew most of its money on its pilot.

And also, Weisman and his lead animator said they went with that style to make for better movement of spider man himself. They tried different styles, including something more in the vein of the 90s show, but it was too blocky and not as crisp and they were limited in articulation and smoothness. And if you watch that show, all of that bears out.

And nah Weisman had plans. He didn't blow anything, trust me. He's written about what he wanted to do for season 3 and beyond and he's open about it on Twitter while also still lamenting he didn't get a chance to finish the show because he wanted to take it to college

I’ll say what I said before. It’s not a bad show. Not at all. It’s better than ultimate which ain’t saying much (holla at me @BXKingPin82) but it’s just not written well from a dialogue standpoint for me. I need it to be a little smarter than it is. Doesn’t mean it’s bad it’s just not for me as a 32 year old and I’m fine with that at this point.

I mean yeah sure but I’m a writer first homie. So I normally go to writing and characterization first and foremost on anything. Especially if it’s spiderman related because that’s near and dear to me. If I can’t stomach either of those two things then I really don’t care about anything else the show is doing well. It’s fukked up but that’s how I am

Yeah man different strokes and all that jazz. I’d never outright be in a thread about something I don’t like. If it makes someone else happy then I’m truly glad for that. Not everything is for everybody so as long as it finds an audience and that audience is straight, it’s not my concern what happens after that. Glad you fukked with it

It’s still going strong. I watched the first season and some of the second because it’s spiderman and God made me legally obligated to give anything with Spider-Man a fair shake.

But I’m going to quote myself:
