Exactly lol. Let's not act like they're not playing the game for what the game is. Shyt new white characters are introduced all the time and thrown to the bushes unless they're under a previously known mantle. Spider Gwen started as a nice throwaway and now she's blown up. Would she have blown up if it was another female comic book character with no relation to spider man whatsoever? Possibly but unlikely

Yeah, and thanks for putting me on to those. I still stand by my point though. These comics reinvent the characters all the time. They add and change powers, family, new origins. They have to keep it fresh. But change the race or gender? All of a sudden it's pandering or unrealistic. One freaking characteristic within a fantasy world and people lose their damn minds. It's very telling.
