Two movies with the same general plot aren't going to work or feel fresh at all. And who's to say Thanos and the Infinity Stones won't show up in Thor: Ragnarok? And you've gotta remember, Inifinity War is a two part movie. So at least some of the first movie will be set-up.

Wow, I think most knew that.

You know, normally I'd agree but you'd be surprised how little the average person knows. If you keep track of this kind of stuff it seems like they drop 45 trailers for a movie, TV spots, featurettes, etc. but I've talked to people that didn't even realize all these movies are connected and in the same universe. There is still people that don't understand that X-Men won't appear in the next Avengers movie. So yeah....there is definitely people that didn't know there would be a "GOTG 2".
