21 New Details on Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order - IGN

1) 27 playable characters have been revealed, including:

• Black Panther
• Black Widow
• Captain America
• Captain Marvel
• Crystal
• Daredevil
• Deadpool
• Doctor Strange
• Drax
• Falcon
• Gamora
• Hawkeye
• Hulk
• Iron Man
• Miles Morales (Spider-Man)
• Ms. Marvel
• Nightcrawler
• Peter Parker (Spider-Man)
• Rocket & Groot [single playable character]
• Scarlet Witch
• Spider-Gwen
• Star-Lord
• Storm
• Thor
• Venom
• Wasp
• Wolverine

2) When characters are introduced, a pop-up word graphic of the character’s name and a description of the character appears. Subsequent tutorial sections are brief and integrated into fights.

3) Teams gain attributes for certain compositions, like a “Women of Marvel” team including Black Widow, Spider-Gwen and Scarlet Witch, or “Web Warriors” with Miles Morales and Spider-Gwen. Others include “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” “Wisecracking Warriors,” “Femmes Fatales,” “Defenders,” and “Midnight Sons.” Multiple team bonuses can run at once.

4) Each character brings their own general style of attack and specialties, and with leveling each has four distinct abilities to utilize.

5) Individual characters have stat menus displaying available attacks, hero traits and more.

6) The Alliance Enhancement System is a web of upgrades that applies to the whole team, described as similar to the Sphere Grid in Final Fantasy X, with nodes unlocked through credits and enhancement points.

7) Characters can level up individually as well, and Ability Points can improve primary abilities for any given character.

Damn Marvel cut the X-Men some slack.

Crystal, from the inhumans i imagine, is the one roster spot that seems random as hell and completely unnecessary. She's got zero fans and zero MCU or comic book presence right now.

Easily could've given that spot to Cyclops, Jean Grey, Blade, Bucky, Shuri or a number of other characters.

Outside of that and the blatant omission of the fantastic four, the playable roster makes sense

Its funny because they already have characters that do what the F4 do powers wise so they arent missed. If they bring back team specific powers then they make more sense to include but idk if they are

I think a lot of it has to do with the Fantastic Four being the OG's who pioneered the whole Marvel Universe in the comics.

I'm definitely agreeing with @Primetime that they should have had Cyclops, Blade, or someone else over Crystal though. But still, it's nice to see them coming correct with some X-men for a change. (Storm, Wolverine)

honestly you would think marvel would push them harder. they have no presence in the vs series outside of doom and skrull. theres something going on with them behind the scenes at marvel

thank god i bought my lil one a switch this is a day 1 cop for me.

I started playing Ultimatie Alliance 2 recently. I always had it but never had time to play it, and im loving it so far. Right now my 2 favorite characters are Magneto and Juggernaut but i also like wolverine and black panthers moveset
