At an event in Los Angeles, Marvel just announced that Black Panther will hit the big screen on November 3rd, 2017. Plot details are currently thin, but the news is big. Black Panther is one of Marvel most important black superheroes. He'll be played by Chadwick Boseman, who's perhaps best known for his recent role as James Brown in Get On Up.

In the comics, Black Panther, otherwise known as T'Challa, is the leader of the high-tech African nation of Wakanda. He's also an Avenger, having joined the team in 1968. T'Challa has yet to make an appearance in the films so far, but rumors abound that one of his arch enemies, Ulysses Klaw, will make an appearance in Avengers: Age of Ultron, setting the stage for the character's debut. Since we know little about what Marvel has in store for the hero, pictures will have to be enough:

He said what they announced today was supposed to be their comic con presentation but they weren't quite ready yet so the rumor that you're pointing to was true breh
