The Age of Miracles is upon us

Marvel Studios is taking a page from Silicon Valley, and issued a surprise, and mysterious, invitation for Tuesday, October 28. The invitations, extended to Newsarama and other sites that cover comic book movies, says nothing other than the date, the morning time, and the location of the El Capitan Theatre in Los Angeles. The invitation certainly brings to mind what Apple has done when announcing a major product in the past. It does specify the event is a Marvel Studios one, not Marvel Comics.

So what could be big enough for their own “special event”? Following Warner Bros.' Internet-capturing DC movie reveal last week, immediate speculation has to turn to Phase 3 of Marvel's film slate. Will we get an official announcement on Captain America: Civil War? Maybe they finally have some casting and other information aboutDoctor Strange. Or heck, even something out of left field, like a Captain Marvel announcement could take place. Whichever way it pans out, you can bet an event like this, which is relatively unprecedented in the industry, will likely have something major to reveal.
