At this point I wanna see Wesley back. No disrespect to Marhashala, who is an incredible actor but like they said in Deadpool.

There’s always been one Blade and there’s only ever going to be ONE Blade

There's no guarantee Chad will even want Ali either. He may want a stipulation that he gets a younger actor.

It's pretty obvious this is a technique Disney is using the force Ali to quit so they can get the person they really want.

They ain't even throw dude in WWBN or Doomsday. Heck even a variant in Deadpool 3. They brought back a 62 year old Wesley

He's the biracial kid hidden from the family portrait.

They bringing the whole gang along and this dude ain't even being acknowledged

As long as Ali doesn't quit, they can't make the movie. But if they go forward without him he must be getting paid. I remember hearing that back in the day, Marlon Wayans was cast to play Robin in Batman Forever. They had the contract and everything but they went with O'Donnell. So till this day, Marlon gets paid for a movie that exist, that he wasn't even in.

That's exactly it that's why they can't call it canceled. They keep calling it put on indefinite hold and hoping legally they can work something out in the meantime.

He's got an ironclad contract that likely pays him for sequels and TV. So he's been iced.

Thats not how it works with franchise movies. Any director who signs on to Blade knows their doing so with Ali as the leading man. They wouldn’t even have a “vision” of anyone else in the role except Ali. Also Ali is a two time Oscar winner, he’a more decorated as a thespian than even Robert Downey Jr. Ali brings a level of prestige to Blade that Marvel would be hard pressed to replace.

I highly doubt any issues with getting the film off the ground has to do with not wanting Marhashala as Blade. They just can’t crack a script that Fiege, Ali, and the rest of the producers agree with. Its insanity to the highest degree but Ali ain’t the problem.

If they were interested in an actor of his pedigree the movie would have been greenlit 4 years ago

Dudes now like 52 years old and the movie, at best he's like 55-56

Ship has sailed.

They clearly weren't interested in ever making the movie, it wasn't a priority, they weren't making rated R movies at the time and it's wasting everyone's time with these "updates".
