Don't think he will be, read he's got another movie in the plans to make with Jordan and a Creed sequel is likely to be announced.
If the studios want a Creed sequel that will happen regardless of whether or not Coogler's involved. The fact that he's in talks period means he's open to the idea.

This will all depend on Marvel's pitch though. If he's allowed some freedom he'll probably take it. If Marvel is going to be too hands on then I can see him bouncing or if he feels it's too much pressure which is also a possibility.

Word. Still shopping my screenplays in hope of being like Coogler

Good luck with that.:ehh:

I said that because you're gonna need it as your distinct lack of a strong voice in your posting tells me you have little chance standing out as a writer.:manny:

If Creed gets a sequel which is most likely, they're not going to just drop Coogler. Judging from it's opening, critical acclaim and talk of awards with Stallone, he will obviously be back, along with most likely being offered other incentives down the line.

Coogler can use the Marvel interest and "talks" to further barter with WB over things such e.g money, future projects not related to Creed, more creative influence on Creed sequels etc that's probably what he's doing.

We'll probably hear soon that he's signed on for the Creed sequel. Just like with the F Gary Gray situation, it's even playing out the exact same way.

Highly doubt Cooler will jump on this. Seems like he'll be good with a Creed franchise and more freedom to do what he wants.

Well, yeah, they're not gonna drop him just like that. Obviously there will be talks. But in the event he were to sign on with BP, WB could easily replace him. The pressing question here is whether or not MBJ would be willing to go on without him(thinking he might).

I'm not getting my hopes up about this. I do think he could be just hearing what Marvel has to say with his mind already made up at the end of the day. There's talks of him doing another project with MBJ(non-Creed) and he's probably thinking he wants to see if he can drive the dude to an Oscar which is possible.

Sorry brehs but Coogler has a better shot of directing Cyborg than BP because of Creed :francis:

WB has a habit of giving directors/actors shyt in exchange for roles/movies. Ben Affleck gets to distribute the movies he directs through WB because of the Batman contract. Same with Will Smith's Overbrook Entertainment
