No one was clamoring for a Black Widow movie, especially not this non-super soldier Natasha.

But it's ok... Disney will learn the hard way not to force shyt.
That's not true at all. Many MCU fans wanted a Black Widow movie. However, most wanted it to happen BEFORE Endgame.

Black Widow was a flop.
I was talking about Yelena not the Black Widow movie. Yelena has been a success since the get-go.

Also, Black Widow wasn't really a flop. It wasn't groundbreaking but it got mostly decent reviews and did OK at the box office considering the fact that there was still some effects of the pandemic and it was released simultaneously on Disney+.

No that character is not a success.
Being in a flop movie, and in a flop series isn't a success.

black widow cost 200m and made 504m if you combine streaming.
It didn't flop but it underperformed
200m production, 200 mil minimum in print and advertising. 380 mil worldwide in box office. Add in litigation costs for scarjo in releasing on Disney + it's a loss.

It made 380 worldwide at box office.
No one calculates later stream money or home sales when evaluating box office performance. Lol
They should because thats money the movie earned. It almost sounds like you want it to be a flop,

The movie made a profit. end of story. That money is still money ... off this movie

That's not how it works, that later income is separate than first run and theater costs.

The movie lost money in theaters. Simple as that. It's a flop, doesn't matter how much you like it.

If you say so.

it made money regardless of your arbitrary reasons to label it a flop though

When a film comes out it's theatrical run determines if it is a bomb or a success. Making money down the road is irrelevant to the success at the time because the money is spent for thatrical success not later.
