I was thinking that. The NJPW dojo takes care of the wrestling part but sending guys to NWA to learn how to cut promos might actually look favorable to NJPW.
There's already a relationship between NJPW, NWA, ROH, and CMLL so it's not far fetched.
what does that matter tho??
you can still watch him in ROH, NWA, NJPW.
and you might still see him in AEW.

Cacs and c00ns happy Marty's not signing with massa Vince's biggest competitor and is instead signing with aROH that nobody gives a fukk about in 2020.
Y'all lucky Khan doesn't have a backbone or else ROH, Impact, and all those other little wrasslin companies y'all love so much because they pose absolutely no threat to massa Vince and his 812 brands would be accessible on the AEW network.
Why would you want promotions to shut down? I'm an AEW fan but I still don't want to see any place get closed down.
Wrestlers need as many options as possible.

I see this as an L for Marty. They wouldnt give Marty the belt over Taven and now wont get it til he literally books it himself... in ROH... in 2020... with the least interesting roster theyve had ever. But at least Delirious is out as booker. 
Good for him, ROH needs a shot in the arm at the moment. MLW, NWA and ROH all need to be around. This is great for up and comers looking to ply their trade, the more places available to do so is good for the business as a whole.

Only has to work 40 ROH dates sometimes back to back for “main roster money”, gets to work for NWA and NJPW, head booker, possibly get management benefits for being head booker.
Could possibly mend fences between AEW, ROH and NJPW.

I might be in the minority here but, I don't think AEW needs another member of The Elite, right now when they've barely fleshed out Hangman's character on TV. They have a backlog of characters they need to finish introducing too.
It would have been like a ball team bringing in another point guard, when they already have six of them, but no centres. It's not even like Scurll would be their junior heavyweight specialist, because AEW has no weight classes.
It would have made for a
moment on Being The Elite, but then what? 
I haven't fukked with ROH like that since Lethal was double champ, but they needed something to keep them in the conversation. This could be it.
