"Martin Scorsese finally got his two favorite actors together in a feature film in Killers of the Flower Moon, Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro, but the director has worked with many great artists besides those two. However, he has a list of people he would have loved to meet with on a project.
Scorsese began directing in the late 1960s, and since then, he has given the world a total of 26 films, 17 documentaries, several episodes of series, short films, music videos and even commercials, which means he has been fortunate enough to share the set with many actors from different generations in addition to DiCaprio and DeNiro, such as Al Pacino, Joe Pesci, Daniel Day-Lewis, Adam Driver, Andrew Garfield, Margot Robbie and Timotheé Chalamet. But there were some with whom, unfortunately, he was never able to work with.
During an appearance at the Montclair Film Festival (via Variety), the filmmaker shared a list of actors he would have loved to include in one of his films. Three of those he mentioned are great Hollywood legends who have already passed away: Spencer Tracy, Barbara Stanwyck, and Marlon Brando. And he also mentioned Barbra Streisand, with whom he still has the opportunity to meet in some future projects.
Like Scorsese himself, Streisand is one of the biggest names in the current film industry. Like the director, the artist began her career in the mid-60s, although she has also excelled strongly in music. She won an Oscar in 1969 for Best Actress for Funny Girl, while she won another in 1977 for Best Original Song in 1977. Given the impact of both of their careers, it would undoubtedly be interesting to see her in a Scorsese film.

While Killers of the Flower Moon continues to triumph at the box office, the director is already thinking about the next steps in his career and is approaching the film community, making it clear that he is far from retiring. In addition to having starred in some fun TikTok videos in recent weeks, Scorsese joined the social media for movie fans, Letterboxd, and became the user with the largest number of followers in record time.
Founded by Matthew Buchanan and Karl von Randow in 2011, Letterboxd seeks to connect film fans around the world, allowing users to create lists of titles they have seen, with ratings and opinions to share with other users of the platform. Many directors and actors are part of the community, so the arrival of a filmmaker like Scorsese is celebrated.
To celebrate the news of Scorsese joining Letterboxd, the director was part of an interview for the platform, where he shared a list of films that have inspired him throughout his career. The list includes The Heiress, A Place in the Sun, Red River, Giant, The Last of the Line, and The Lady of the Dugout."
