:blessed: this why I don't support the "boycott", there are more and more players taking action and it's only going to pick up more steam as the season continues. They can't blackball all of these players because the league becomes trash.

NFL better do something about this fast before it becomes a serious problem and it starts making teammates take sides against one another. Wouldn't be surprised if we start hearing about lockeroom fights come the middle of the season between teammates, eventually there will be some White players who get tired of this shyt and start showing their true feelings in thenlockeroom or in the media
That's exactly why you SHOULD support the boycott. I agree, more players are becoming "woke" & vocalizing their reactions to social injustices. That's cool, but to the league, those players are just background noise. The owners don't care about the players' messages because many fans will still go to games, buy merch, and give the league ratings revenue.
If you participate in the boycott, then the owners feel it in their pockets, and will have to realize that they can't blackball guys lile Kaep who are trying to bring attention to issues that are affecting our country.
Normally, I'd be screaming HTTR all day long, but until WE start getting some justice, then it's eff the NFL for me & mine.

And you're in the minority, how many people do y'all think it will take for the owners to actually feel this? Ratings don't mean shyt because they have already recieved their money, NFL games are ALWAYS sold out regardless of what the stadiums look like on gameday, jersey sales and etc. are useless because they have already made their money by selling the sponshorships to companies like Nike. The only way the NFL will ever feel an impact is if THESE PLAYERS STOP PLAYING, which is something they won't ever do because it's how they feed their families. What Bennet did is what we need from more players, we need lockeroom fights over this and teammate issues because that's the only time that the people who really matter THE OWNERS will give a damn. That's when thing will change, right now the owners don't give a fukk because they money can't be fukked with yet. They can let this shyt go on now because it's just Black men not accepting the pledge, or throwing a fist in the air, but what happens when these White men start fighting back or talking bad in media and the teammates are picking sides and beefing. That's when the media starts talking different, that's when it becomes a bigger issue because now it's the owners fault for not "fixing" it when they had a chance.

We're almost saying the same thing; but it's not about the players not playing, it's about the fans not supporting. Nobody (except his family and staff) are losing money because Kaep is sitting at home. Nobody would lose money if all of the players sat at home. The owners would hire a bunch of scab players like they did in '84, and the league would go on. Now, if the fans said "I'm not spending money on the NFL product, merch, etc.", then the owners & league would changd their tune. Players are replaceable. Tom Brady could retire today, & you'd still have people going to pats games & buying jerseys. But if that money stopped coming in...

Naw, this isn't '84. If the NFL attempted to use scab players it would be a wrap. Television companies would drop the money that they bid, Nike and everyone else wouldn't give a shyt about them having their logo because nobody would care. We watch the product because it's great, but a mass amount of these players start sitting and then you would start to see numbers drop like crazy.

That's just my opinion and I could be wrong but I truly believe that if massive amounts of players start to sit, and I'm talking superstars then we will start to see the owners going crazy.

Not racially motivated fights. You really think White players aren't going to start speaking on this? You don't think that there will eventually be players who say "just shut up and play football". What you think happens after that? It goes from "all they're just being competitive" to "it's Black vs White" that's when it becomes a problem.

But you said ratings don't matter. The reason Nike and other advertiser

The reason that companies like Nike would leave the NFL is because if fans stopped watching, then there wouldn't be as many people seeing their commercials during a football game, and in turn, buying Nike products. Then owners would loss their shares of ad revenue.
The ONLY thing that matters to owners is selling their product. The ONLY reason the owners who have spoken publicly about not signing Kaep is because they say he'd keep a large portion of fans from attending games (and buying concessions & merch).
Again, you could replace every big name in the NFL with a bunch of guys from the practice squad. As long as people show up, or tune in at home, the owners won't care who's on the field.

At this time they don't matter because they already got their money and will continue to get it because the product won't suffer BUT if the PLAYERS DECIDE TO START SITTING in the future it will cause that money to be gone because ESPN and all the other sponsors will start to lowball the NFL if they even attempt to get the product.

You think that these players can just be replaced by a body but that's isn't the case. They quality would go down, the product would be trash, that's why the NFL will never have a competitor because it can't be replace. Brady could be replaced by an NFL capable player but to just pull in a player who played in college and was a bum to take his spot because of thr need to put someone in a uniform...that won't work.

If it did the XFL would have lasted longer. The players in the league are what makes this whole thing work and if they ever decided to step back then it would hurt the league...that and the media but thatsba different story
