I feel that a lot of these studies confirm a lot of empirical knowledge we ALL know intuitively. Like no shyt when a woman says they won't take your last name that should be seen as a problem. I had an ex that mentioned that to me because her parents had two girls and didn't have anyone to pass on their name. Funny enough her somewhat feminist sister took on her husband's last name. When she mentioned the idea of her doing a hyphenated name, that was something else in my list of "Why I shouldn't be with this woman" to add :camby:

I would have never married a woman who would not take my last name. She can hyphen, if she is an only child of her father, but that was as far as I would accept. My wife made her last name her middle name, and took my last name. That was a novel solution that I had no complaints about.
