Something very subtle that has been missed but exploited in hip hop culture is the disrespect for elders. I've noticed that new school rappers and more so young rap fans feel intimidated by living up to the 'golden era'. Dudes will outright go full retard to gain their own identity.

I don't want to derail the thread by expounding on this but even though change is a blessing you don't build a house from the roof but from the foundation. Other genres of music have more respect for the history of the shyt they in than we do. Does it then go past hip hop culture?

I only bring this up because of the Fubu Enyce statements from Marlon. Lol, our debates are so trivial.

Just make sure your parenting is straight ( no pun) ....if you had real males in your household yet somehow went insane, the minute you wear a skirt home you'd receive the roasting of 12 lifetimes :laff:

Nikkas would be on you for hours, days and years and you'd never do that dumb shyt again.

Probably get your fakkit ass whooped too.

For those from households that lack real male role models I still say we desperately need our own media outlets:patrice:

Shout out to Lord Jamar and Marlon Wayans for participating in a Twitter beef that I could actually follow along, read, and understand and subsequently enjoy. It's impossible to follow along and understand 90% of these Twitter beefs. They both had some good points. On one hand I ain't feeling skirts on dudes either, but at the same time Lord Jamar does come off like a bitter azz old man. I can picture Game caliing him a bitter azz old n!gga.

Lord Jamar really doesn't realize that he's the punch line. His adoption of the tragic hood negro as the archetype of what a Black man should be puts him square in the box that the society he used to rail against wants him in. His hyper-masculinity & concern with the "feminization" of hip hop says less about the individuals he attacks & more about his lack of understanding of what being a man is. Hyper-Masculinity is a cloak Black men have adopted to survive living in war zones. When we escape these war zones that cloak loses it's purpose. It's now become a caricature. Sadly one lyricists I rocked the most in college is just that, a caricature.

tumblr_lht5tkqdKD1qdlkgg.gif

and what's even more disturbing is the LACK OF BACKLASH or OUTRAGE from all these "I WAS RAISED IN THE CHURCH ..LOVE DA LAWD" c00ndaddy HOLLYWOOD negroes defending this shyt along with that Hermaphodite Atlanta rapper YOUNG THUG with the painted nails and blouses :snoop:

I posted the Omar Epps "SKIRTGATE" situation on a facebook group that features all my alumni from college...

and NONE OF THESE MOFOS ...the byatches nor the negroes would even DARE COMMENT..not even ONE LIKE or disapproval

it's like they SCARED :why:

I'm not a fan personally of rocking "skirts" (most of them are long shirts really), but who the fukk is Jamar to think what he says is gospel?

Dude has been a lame recently and just firing up shyt for relevance. I don't care about his history, if you aren't saying and trying to do something in or about your art-form other than bytch and whine on VladTV and Twitter about other people/rappers....then :camby:

*edit. People are talking this that and the other about selling out the black race, etc by wearing a skirt. You dumb backward motherfukkers should realise half of the shyt you promote on a daily is doing that already.
true but that doesnt negate this forcefed fakkitry being pushed.

I was born and raised listening to HIP-HOP and have been listening for almost 30 years now.

I just don't agree with Lord Jamar over the constant spectacle he tries to make policing what the next man wears THAT IS SOME SUCKA shyt, STRAIGHT UP.

I remember Afrika Bambatta and the ZN wearing things that dudes nowadays would clown and call gay. But that was back when Hip-Hop had many lanes and dudes were aloud to have their own style and diversity.

You gotta remember MY FAVORITE ARTIST IS Prince, dude is a musical genius. the fukk I look like not fukkin with his legendary music cause dudes think the way he dress is "fruity"?

I could upload a gang of pics of black artist in the 60's 70's and 80's wearing shyt that the majority of yall blind ass nikkaz on this site would call "gay" or "fruity".

people act like Black fashion didnt exist until the 90's were the staple uniform became baggy jeans and tims/ chucks/ air forces......

nah bruh, i'm not ignorant.

I will NEVER make a public spectacle bout another mans difference in fashion choices that is the epotime
of some SUCKA SHYT.
