They really need to eliminate the zone and go back to man-to-man. I know people have gripes with ball movement and iso ball, but honestly, there's not much ball movement now. Or should I say, there's not much movement without the ball. GS, Spurs and Milwaukee are the few teams that I noticed that actually have off-the-ball movement. Every other team have 1 player with the ball and everyone else camp out around the perimeter. They don't even attempt to move more than 2 steps to the right/left. That's still iso ball. At least straight man will force people to work on other aspects of their game.
The difference between this 3pt era and every other era is that EVERYONE is trying to do it. Aside from the dunk, everyone wasn't tryna crossover people like AI. Everyone wasn't using the fadeaway like MJ. Everyone wasn't using the pull-up midrange, everyone wasn't in the post backing them down. Hell, everyone wasnt even dunking everything because there were actual shot blockers. We didn't even know some players could dunk. People emulated those with their body-types/skill sets so there was still a variety. Everyone is shooting 3s though. there's no reason why Anthony Davis should be shooting 3s, or Milsap or Horford or Kevin Love, Chris Bosh, Cousins. When Andre Drummond and Dwight Howard start shooting 3s, I will stop watching.
