and did he not explain why he thought so? And after hearing his explanation, do you think he's lowkey shytting on steph?

No, because anyone who thinks Steph is hurting basketball is an idiot. He's making the connection that Steph being such a good shooter has trickled down to high school kids taking bad shots. That isn't is fault to begin with and seems purely anecdotal to me.

This happens every time style of play shifts in the league. shyt, dating back to Wilt. Anytime what folk think hoops is supposed to look like is challenged or cats start winning with shyt that most folks aren't good at...people wanna say the game is hurt overall. It's never been true, isn't true today and never will be true.

I'd argue that Steph isn't a shift but an anomaly. Jordan was a shift and ushered baby Jordan's (Kobe, TMac etc). I doubt we see anyone come even close to Steph... I always laugh when people say shyt like Ray should have been born 20 years later cause Rays skill set is nothing like Stephs. He wouldn't have been able to get off the same shots Steph can.

Very high compliment from Jackson towards Curry at the end of the day.
YES, his choice to use the word "hurting" was poor but only if you're being intellectually dishonest and won't mold that meaning to fit the context of their relationship. We say Jimmy Butler is a "bad" man!!! But do we really mean that he's a Webster's dictionary "bad" man??? Do we????

This current generation is a piece of shyt. I'm glad I was born in late '84. fukk y'all nikkas. :blessed: You all refuse to keep it 100 and let snippets and micromessages dictate the narrative on things that are right in front of your face.

And :whew: at what Andrew Bogut said. :damn: Mark may need to send a hitter out on dude. :mjpls:

:dead: at the increase of 3 pointers at pickup games being called "ruining"
I think in a concept it can be ruining. If players legit try to emulate his playground style of taking transition 2 on1 3s and no look passes . That can be a problem for sure . Stephs a one of a kind player

People chucking 3's in pickup has been happening well before Steph Curry was even born.

Quote someone and don't read what they wrote brehs...

I clearly, obviously and specifically said there have always been chuckers. The difference now is almost everybody is doing it on the court now. It's like if you're under 25 playing pickup ball, more than half of your shots are pull up 3's. People who know they can't shoot are chucking up 3's now, the same way people without handles were trying to dribble like AI back in the day.

same thing happened with MJ and the era of hero ball.

He mentioned Jordan and Kobe in the YouTube link...
"They don't fall in love with things that make them great, they fall in love with the things they do great."

It was a knock on how Stephs game is interpreted more than anything.

Mainstream media hates mark due to his stance on gay marriage so they will take any chance they get to throw dirt on him. Whoever the troll reporter was who went and got a quote from Andrew Bogus is a moron.

Everything I'm seeing is really out of context. Kids do ignore the other aspects of the game besides steph's shooting. They don't see how he moves with and without the ball, his passing, his anticipation and iq. You go watch a high school game now and it's literally kids who can't shoot launching 24 footers. and it's just how the game is played now. Porzingis is a 7'3 jump shooter and he's the next big thing.

Isnt that the coaches responsibility and not Steph Curry's?
I'm not blaming Steph curry at all. I'm saying these kids won't notice that he finishes well with his left hand because they care more about his 3 point shooting. I agree with Mark Jackson

And if a kid can't make a left hand layup by high school that's the kids fault. If you can teach yourself a euro you should be able to teach yourself a left hand layup

So lack of self control with the younger athlete seems to be the issue with basketball. Play to your strengths.
