During a recent edition of Busted Open Radio, WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry said the following in regards to Smackdown women’s champion Charlotte Flair…

“She has the potential to eclipse Ric if she’s allowed to wrestle men and have a run doing that and then going back to women’s wrestling and being the ultimate heel, like, ‘I left y’all because y’all beneath me.’ That can be, you know, another 10 years of her dominance that can make people only think that when you hear the name ‘Flair’ that you think Charlotte.”

Fellow WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray also commented on Charlotte during Saturday’s podcast…

“I love the fact that she put the figure eight on a man [Drew Gulak] last night. I want Charlotte to wrestle men. As the matter of fact moving into this match, you know, put the figure eight on two more guys, three more guys, have guys tapping out left and right.” (quotes courtesy of Sportskeeda.com)
Who in their right mind would think that this would be a good idea?:mindblown:

charlotte gotta be the one wrestler who every vet in the industry has an over infatuation with that doesnt translate to how the fans feel, its probably rooted in a lot of them being stans and friends of her dad
That's all it is. A lot of them make it seem like she's Chyna when it comes to appearance, and Sable when it comes to popularity. The reality is that she's not nearly as over as they think she is, and she's not as physically imposing as they make her out to be. She's only 5'9 and she wears lifts to appear taller.
Ronda would absolutely walk out then. If you’re gonna even have that cross your mind, it would only be Ronda
And even that doesn't translate well, seeing her get physical with HHH was more funny than intimidating.:russ:

Remember when they had the mixed tag with Seth & Becky vs Baron & Lacey? Renee was cheerleading whenever Becky hit Corbin, then when he hit Becky with the End of Days she acted like he committed a crime. That right there is why you can't do inter gender matches in this era, because they really want guys to stand there and let the women beat them up.

And that was AFTER Becky vs Sasha in HIAC :laff:they treat women with such kids gloves these days despite overall these women competing in more brutal matches than a lot of [previous era WWE] women. Meanwhile, Mae Young went through tables every week, Lita is beaten with chairs and speared, and Stacy Kiebler is taking Pumphandle slams and RKOs :russ::russ:

Ugh I would have to stop watching if they have Charlotte beat the men.

And I was a fan of Chyna back in the day - she was believable (even as a bad wrestler) if you put her in the ring next to a guy and a guy carried her the size and strength could sell it. Never had a thing against her winning the IC title or entering the rumble...but Chyna was more like a "Freakshow" wrestler and not treated like a norm female. It still didn't work to have her beat guys.

They eventually ran out of men to book her against because Austin and Rock wisely declined since they couldn't hit a girl and couldn't put her over without hurting their own standing.

Who does it help to have a women wrestling men? They just end up burying their male roster and then they have nothing for the woman to do. Let her be the 'star' of her division but even there I'm tired of watching her win and beating people.

I'm honestly shocked AEW hasn't started doing intergender matches yet given everything else they've done because they do it on the indies

Lita earned her stripes after that beatdown from Stone Cold & HHH. JR on commentary made it sound like the most sadistic shyt he'd ever seen.:damn:

They hit her plenty of times, just not in a sanctioned match.:russ:

Closest they've done was a mixed tag match with Omega/Riho Lesnar against another mixed team aboard the Jericho cruise a couple years ago.

No, no, no...Austin and Rock used to kick Chyna's ass but she definitely won fans over when she turned face and that Playboy sold all those copies.
