I agree with both of you to some degree. To say nobody gives a fukk about his opinion isn't really true as this has been on ESPN all day, and this thread is 50 pages deep. I didn't find out about this until noon today, when I hit the break room pissing off of all the women in there watching soaps as I turned the channel to ESPN with no fukks given. I still haven't read or heard all of Cuban's thoughts entirely, but I myself am very curious. Plus as you mentioned, Cuban is a man of wealth and influence. That alone deserves some attention which its naturally recieving and generating discussion.

I have to agree though as well with FukkaPaidemail's sentiments on the outrage too though. I really don't get the outrage. The reason I say that is because when situations like Sterling, the 80 year old cop that just resigned in New Hampshire, Cliven Bundy's comments, etc., when these situations come to prominence in the media, I never get angry. To the contrary, I feel a measure of satisfaction because it confirms that any suspicions I have about white people are valid. I can't remember the homie's name on here that said he was "uber-pissed" about Sterling, but for the life of me I couldn't relate. Others on this thread, within the last few pages have expressed similar emotional responses, and I just don't get it. It's almost like they've had their head in the sand about white people or something. Like brehs, you really didn't know that plenty of them, if not most of them, either fear or hate you? Sometimes both? At the very least, even if they don't hate you, don't want to be around too many of us at a time. What'd you dudes think? That they love you, wanted to embrace you, and you've only now been disappointed to find out otherwise? I don't get it man. I swear at times it's like we set ourselves up for personal disappointment when we invest ourselves emotionally into these subjects.

On another note, on the surface from the little that I read and heard, Cuban's thoughts in isolation don't disturb me. There's a side of me that actually likes the fact that he expressed himself as it creates necessary conversation. There's far too much hush-hush going on. Cuban expressed thoughts that even white people that you call your friends won't express to you, and they may even be in self-denial thinking that they really don't have any racial hangups. That said, I ain't mad at Cuban for this one. You'd have an easier time pulling a camel through the eye of a needle before getting most white people to openly express their personal views on race. Even the liberal ones, matter fact especially the liberal and progressive ones, plenty of them will tell you what they want you to hear and even worse what they think you want to hear. All that does is create false context and superficial discussions.

couldn't agree with you more. dudes acting like they've never been outside or interacted with other races. in america there is an inherent fear of black people hoodie or not and whether that fear stems from bad experiences, hear say, the media, hip hop, or just plain old racial bigotry discussing it is a good step.

Honestly, I wish Chris Rock didn't say that. He admits it himself that he wish he hasn't done that becaues it give white people excuse to say this, "I love black people but I hate n!gger".

Imagine if your white friend said, to you, "Man, I hate them n!gger but you're not n!gger, you're good education black man so much respect for you"

white people actually do this, they don't say the n word of course but they say shyt like, "I don't look at you as Black, you talk proper and don't act like the rest of them" which is basically the clean version of what Chris Rock said.

It's funny how white people reacted to LeBron "Decision" by burning his jersey in the streets and having a barn fire of his merchandise. And a racist Cleveland owner was mad that his slave has been set free. Mark Cuban supported Dan Gilbert comments by the way.

LeBron didn't harm anyone by the "Decision" to get that type of hatred reaction.

There are real evidence that Donald Sterling has disinfranchised many black people with his prejudice thoughts.

But to the domaint society, black people are overreacting. Mark Cuban is making excuses for this type of behavior. That Sterling should keep his team.

So, I guess white people wasn't overreacting by burning LeBron jerseys and shyt.

If Cuban think Sterling comments should not be enough to lose his team. I wonder why he had a problem with LeBron "Decision" and being able to go to the Miami Heat with free will.

That's why I always said the reaction to the "Decision" was more about LeBron being a black man with free will. And white people hated that.

Absolutely.

Cuban is not Latino he is white and Jewish. His parents came from Russia and changed their last name just like many white foreigners during that time when they came to America. They would change their name and no one would know that they were Jewish or Irish or Italian. They then could live like Anglo Saxons and get all the benefits. Black folks could never do this unless they were extremely light and could pass...which was very rare.

I know that.
I was just stating that a lot of Latinos have European blood in them than what they culturally claim. Most Latinos could pass for looking white. That's all.

Well said, but both of them have the same meaning.

The point is nikkas fear nikkas too. I can drop you in Chicago at night right now and have you walk down the street and you would hope the footsteps you heard behind you wasn't by a young Black man.
People fear people when they are in a place known for violence. You say it like everywhere in the country has young black males who are looking to kill somebody. Why you taking a few neighborhoods and tryna turn it into a broad generalization? nikkas like you trip me out because you buy into the bullshyt.

What is the point you are trying to make? Of course if you get dropped into a high crime area you are watchful of your surroundings. What does that have to do with seeing black males with hoodies as threatening?

I'm not sure what the point of Cuban's comments are. He keeps trying to say that he's not absolving Sterling but these comments serve no other purpose.
