iPod Raheem 2.0

Who are you responding to?
@gator_king, the threadstarter
I read all the previous comments before his slow and steady just to make sure I didn't miss something...
Did you read the original post kindergarten-reading ass nikka?
gator_king said:Contrast this with Elway's last game and you see why history is being rewritten before our very eyes...
If so, how'd you miss this if you were reading "slow and steady"?
iPod makes good points. Y'all better fall back. Let's stop throwing darts at Elway da gawd.
John Elway's career high is 27 passing TD's in a season. Marino threw for at least 44 TD's on two different occasions.
John Elway's career high in passing yards per game for a season is 251.9. Marino topped that mark in 7 different seasons, including a career high of 317.8 yards per game.
John Elway's career high in QB rating is 93.0 (his last season when he had Terrell Davis). Marino's career high in QB rating is 108.9 (with no running game to speak of).
These two aren't even in the same league. John Elway is the most overrated football player to ever live.
And I'm responding to nikkas like this
First off, get off the QBR's dikk...
It is important to remember that the system is used to rate pass-ers, not quarterbacks. Statistics do not reflect leadership, play-calling, and other intangible factors that go into making a successful professional quarterback.
QB Rating Calc - Help
Daunte Culpepper had a a 110.9 passer rating in 2004 with Minny...with no run game to speak of. That make him a better QB than Marino?
Tony Romo, Matt Schaub, Chad Pennington, Culpepper, and Jeff Garcia all have higher career passing ratings than Marino? That make them better QBs than Marino?
Secondly, why didn't you mention that Elway has 2 SB rings? How many does Marino have? This ain't about that, though. You and I know those are team accolades that Elway had no part of.
How many SB MVPs Marino have? Nevermind. I already know.
All trolling aside, all I'm saying is why can't we just acknowledge that they both were good. For some reason, we have to shyt on one in order to uplift the other. Be clear, you can argue that Marino is statistically the greatest QB ever. Clearly better than Elway. That's objective criteria. The proof's in the pudding. I just don't get how you can seriously have watched Elway QB and front on his impact on the field. Even statistically speaking, he got busy. Just not like Marino.
To front like you can't mention Marino and Elway in the same sentence is crazy to me.
Especially when Elway's career is >>> Marino's.
