It's like three days out in the field without shaving that's the problem. As a USN vet, we didn't have that problem. As BM you have to shave every day to avoid this, but Army and Marines don't have that luxury.
Have you noticed when after a few days of not shaving that your face " itches "? That's your hair curling back into your skin. That's the culprit.
Yes my face low key itches now.

Everybody black used the shaving waiver in the military.

I pretty much haven't used a razor since I've been out of the Army because its bad for my skin.

I didn’t know this was a thing until recently

This was at an Air Force base though. Air Force isn’t like other branches from my experience (Worked in joint environments mostly, but worked on Navy/Marines bases the most).

So when I got to the AF base a lot of what I remembered had changed (been out of uniform for 10 years now).

But I also just recently stopped working for the Marines, they don’t play that bullshyt. If they giving you a waiver it’s probably because you need it.
