Forty bucks an eighth plus tax is to much for an eighth. Im good with dispensary I use with my medical card. They have better prices and the weed is really good. They even have bubba kush on the menu for 2 grams fifteen bucks.

North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
Will be interesting to see how the media spins it if crime numbers drop significantly this year.

I also see weed sellers making a lot of money selling under the table. I mean how will they keep track of all the product from an irs stand point. It's not like cigarettes where you have recognizable brands. There are different strands of weed but most won't know the difference.

I agree if I was medical status already then no reason to go recreational and pay the tax UNLESS I was visiting from out of state and medicinal wasn't an option. That being said its still chill as hell to be able to put an ounce in my pocket and walk to my boy's spot without worrying about getting hussled on some :mjpls: by the fuzz.

They like "you got any drug's... boy?" :smugdraper:
I'm like "nah officer di.ck I ain't got sheee*t:jawalrus:

They pat me down and find the bud but I be like :gladbron::troll::stylin::youngsabo:

Oh really? I hear it wasn't bad early this morning but figured sh*t would get real as the day wore on and the stoners dragged themselves out of bed... How deep are the lines exactly? Is there a thick cloud of ganja wafting through the city streets? Wuzup?

The shop near University (Near DU next to the Chiptole) was almost down the block..

Yeah that tax is kind of

But still, in a way it'd be worth the convenience since

1. Don't have to worry about cops
2. Don't have to worry about finding a connect, your connect being out of town, etc.
3. Don't have to worry about it being laced or shytty (or, at least, if it is you can try to get a refund)

Hopefully I live long enough to see it legal in general (not just decriminalized) in the US.

im 27 and i bet by the end of my 30's it will be legal, if this is a success the next year in colorado other states will see this and follow, sooner or later the federal goverment will have no choice but to legalize it

The Colorado model is retarded. They flooded the streets and dropped the elbow prices by a grand and then ran out of supply and had to raise prices back. Colorado isn't on par with Cali emerald triangle quality right now. They are a step or two below so if you get tree in NorCal your shyt is better than this legal stuff.

Anyway, this is dope. I'll be at the Cup in April and I'll be out there this month to snowboard. Gonna see how these recreational dispensaries are running first hand. Last time I was out there, the medical dispensaries were a joke. Some lady was growing 1,000 plants of fukking mids. It was gross. There's def some talent out there though and I think in then next year or two they will be able to compete with Humboldt.

since they probably pay taxes, im thinking more states will start allowing that shyt...Nothing make state legislators change their mind quicker than potential tax money.

At some point they have to get tired of raising taxes on cigarettes :manny:

The tax base on weed is awesome for state govt. They can charge whatever the fukk they want and people will pay it. State tax in colorado is 2.9% but they can charge 20% tax on weed. Insta boners for the politicians feeding their budgets.

As the novelty wears off the competition between black market and retail prices will apply downward pressure to the price. Additionally , people will be growing their own under the new law and that will also drive the price lower. In the end I think the price will settle to 50 percent of what it is now. The owners will still be making off with a king's ransom and eventually it wont be worth it to the street level dealers anymore.
