Maria Sharapova was suspended for two years Wednesday for testing positive for meldonium at the Australian Open.

The five-time Grand Slam champion was provisionally suspended by the International Tennis Federation in early March, when she announced at a news conference in Los Angeles that she failed a doping test in January.

Sharapova said then she was not aware that the World Anti-Doping Agency had barred athletes from using meldonium, also known as mildronate, as of Jan. 1.

Her lawyer, John Haggerty, said Sharapova took the substance after that date.

Wednesday's ruling said Sharapova did not intend to cheat, but bore "sole responsibility" and "very significant fault" for the positive test

Hah! :mjlol:

All that time, energy, money spent trying to cheat and you still lose...!

To Black Excellence, no less! :banderas:
:mjlol::laff:

And it's not like Sharapova was close or trying to keep up... It's like a distant 3rd place in a two person race.

Have fun in Asterisk County.
Have fun doing the Anna Kournikova thing... In your 30s. :pachaha:

Ok. I met her in D.C, at a WTT event about 5 or so years ago and she was cool as shyt. My man worked security for the even and got me in. She signed two balls and the SI swimsuit issue she did for me. One more thing, She is one of those who is better looking in person. I honestly was pleasantly surprised. I'm 6 even and she is a little taller than the 5'9" they have her listed but that ass. :banderas:

I saw her play at the US open, she's a legit 6'3. Aesthetically not my cup of tea but her legs are indeed a wonder to behold. Lacking in the hindquarters though.[/QUOTE

Both of the at Cal State Dominguez Hills working out (different years, though. I saw Serena up there 1st. Sharapova must've heard and tried to copy her lol).

They both surprised me by how tall they were in person.
My homeboy was with me when I saw Serena on the track doing laps and he geeked out. He screamed "I love you, Serena! You're the best! :gladbron::krs:"
She broke her stride and started laughing her ass off and took a picture with him.

And what an ass it was, brehs.
It.
Was.
Glorious.:banderas:

Was shocked that Sharapova is like 6'3" up close.
All legs, though.
Pretty.
For a white girl.:mjpls:

I thinks its crazier that Tennis has a system where they only notify someone of a prescription drug going onto the banned substance list, via email. The fukk? :what:
I get paid to check emails and I STILL don't do it all the time. :francis:

Cliffnotes:
- Sharapova has taken a prescription pill for over 10yrs
- Tennis Board has always been aware of her taking medication.
- Tennis Board said its always been fine.
- Tennis Board decides could possibly have performance enhancement properties.
- Tennis Board decides to ban medication Jan 1st.
- Tennis Board sends email to Sharapova.
- Sharapova did not check email.
- Routine tests are performed in Jan.
- Sharapova test positive.
- Sharapova gets suspended.
- Tennis Board knows she did not take drug for PE.
- Tennis Board basically said "bytch should've checked her emails."

Overall, whether you like the woman or not, thats a pretty fukked up process that couldve easily happened to Serena or any other player. They need a better way to relay important potentially career ending information like that than a fukking email just a few days beforehand. :mjlol:

To be fair, if you know that's how they operate (via email) check your fukking email religiously, in fact, leave a tab open and check every three hours.
