As for the thread topic...in a way the Saints overachieved this year. Nothing is guaranteed next season but a strong offseason where we can add depth and then maybe 2018-19 will be Drew's best chance to win ring #2.

The Eagles had the 6th easiest, the Patriots had the 10th easiest, Vikings 12th easiest and the Jaguars had the easiest schedule out of the Conference Championship teams.

So it's not like any of the other teams had to travel through Mordor to get to this game. Just for the record.

The Saints had the 8th hardest schedule in 2017.

Also the AFC East pretty much spots the Patriots 6 games a year (give or take 1 or 2). I'm admitting this as a life long fan.
