so you're saying the man could be a Garvey-ite? Good point. :ehh:

breh, im agreeing with you. Fans should be allowed to say anything they want to athletes. I know you've probably said something in the past that you wouldnt say to said athlete in a restaurant or at a street, but in the stands? Say all the wild shyt you want, you are protected because you paid for that seat. On top of that, when those athletes are in their workplace, they are no longer people but pieces for our entertainment.

And I am sure the fan who abused the professional Marcus Smart sympathizes with Smart, and would like to re-establish the Black Star Line.

Thats a fair suspension

I mean, it is a fair suspension and I wouldn't really have a problem with that, but why is SAS acting like there's nothing to talk.about? That implies he's cool with fans being able to say ANYTHING to athletes. SAS is supposed to be an analyst and this is his response?

Jeff Orr Identified as Texas Tech Fan Shoved by Marcus Smart

Blayne Beal, a spokesman for the Red Raiders' athletic department, confirmed to ESPN.com the identity of the fan in question. His name is Jeff Orr, and he's been profiled by the school because of his love of Texas Tech basketball. Beal told ESPN.com that Orr travels thousands of miles each year to watch games.

In the aforementioned profile, written by Sally Logue Post in 2010, Orr is presented as more of a superfan than anything else.

Orr admitted that he got carried away in the situation but said that he didn't use racial slurs or any other vulgarity, per CBS Sports' DougGottlieb:
