Only thing I can remember worse was Napolean Mccallum injury, he nearly died on the field from a leg injury because it severed an artery. If you haven't seen it, I'd advise against looking it up, pretty gruesome. I was little when I seen it and it had me scared to death that my knee might get injured the same playing sports.

No video of Robert Edwards injury but I remember them saying at one point they thought they would have to amputate below the knee.

And that was flag football.

Apparently he tore the ACL, MCL, PCL, LCL, and Patella tendon, and broke his femur.

his knee is gone


I hope he had an insurance policy taken out (I doubt it tho because of his ACL injury last year)

Everytime a RB runs between the tackles he's facing a career threatening hit. Some dude trying to make a name for himself will not give 2 fcks about going low or aim for your head.

This isn't just an ACL tear, this isn't just an Achilles rupture or tear.

Dude tore his ACL, MCL, PCL, and LCL. Those are all 4 knee ligaments. On top of that he has an injury to the patella tendon AND a broken femur. So no, dudes don't come back from this shit all the time.

Before AP and suggs and all these other cats.. and let's not forget willis.. he tore all for ligaments too..

Damn. Robert edwards. My favorite back i had seen in college football at the time and I also liked watching that sand flag football..that injury

Over a thousand yards as a rookie then that injury. I thought he had the potential to be better than curtis martin..
