I'd be shocked if AB didn't up his level of comp for his next fight

The whole Maidana thing... AB shouldn't of went down to 140 if he wanted that rematch...Its easy for Haymon to not make it since they arent in the same division N the public won't demand it cuz now they want Matthysse...N with AB on track for a 140 belt, jumping up N down in weight is not good for the fighter

It could possibly be over for that nikka... and Haymon knows it Maidana snatched that nikka 147 hood pass card... now he's been demoted to 140 and they're cautiously biding there time (stalling) because I dont think Al has enough faith in AB vs Matthyssee (or any strong punchers).. going life or death with Emmanuel Taylor(Algieri's leftovers) just didn't prove much, so they pretty much have to still be super selective for his next opponopponent until they believe he can have a dominant performance on someone above C level

He beat Victor Ortiz, dropped him twice (like he did Broner), including having to have the ringside doctor step in and stop the fight in the 6th round.....but he's willing to rematch him


Why would he not rematch Adrien Broner who would make him much more money than Berto and Ortiz combined, plus Broner's been calling him out for almost a year now begging for the rematch?

Victor Ortiz quit in the 6th round.....Broner fought all 12.

Ortiz was also dropped twice within 6 rounds while Broner was dropped only once in the first 6 rounds, who knows how many more times Maidana would've dropped Ortiz if they went the full 12.

Ortiz was the larger man and fought Maidana at 140, while Broner was the smaller man and fought him at 147.
