He's wearing 10oz Powerlock gloves for the rematch....that's what we're talking about

HAHAHAHA

I remember when my coworker called me out to a 8 rd. Mind you he's a boxer who been hanging with a few cats. Even Berto. They sparred a couple times. Doesn't mean much, but it's whatever. Anyway dude said I was wearing 16s cuz my hands are too big. :dead:

He was wearing 10s with little padding. I laughed at him and left :camby:

They don't wear the same gloves.

The gloves that Floyd is trying to make him wear are gloves to protect the hand. They have more foam around the knuckle area. Reyes and MX are made with less foam and a harder leather.

Maidana ain't wearing the grants tho

the first fight they both had on 8 oz gloves

but the point is mute, if he never tried to cheat in the first place, they wouldn't be pulling these stunts

can't blame nobody but himself, he was lucky he didn't get suspended

the first gloves were denied by the commission so after catching them trying to cheat why give them any choice

at the end of the day they both fighting with the same oz clothes

speaking of which, if maidana somehow got ill/injured leading really close up to the fight, what happens then? Floyd counts on those specific september and may dates, so you think they would have a back up plan, stand by ready to go Opponents?

I haven't seen or heard any official statement saying that's the case. All talk I've heard say's he is using the same gloves from the first fight, which are 8 oz powerlocks. Maybe there was an article or interview I missed that contradicts this, if so
please link me up breh! Id appreciate it!

I thought all Junior Middleweight fights have to be held with 10oz gloves. Being that the fight is being contested above the Welterweight limit and is "officially" a Junior Middleweight bout, 10oz gloves are the standard size.

Marcos Maidana has never fought in 10z gloves. To go from always fighting in 8oz MX gloves to now preparing for a fight in 10oz Powerlock gloves is a huge difference in the damage you can deal out and how it feels to you and your opponent.

has this ever been done before?.....a fighter not being allowed to wear the gloves of his choice?...this shyt really seems insane when you think about it. the gloves are the most important piece of equipment to a fighter. if there was some unfair advantage ok, but these are commission approved gloves. both guys should be free to wear whichever they are most comfortable with. floyd not givin any fukks at all with his demands:pachaha:....shyt is like a baseball team choosing what bats their opponents can use. some things just shouldn't be allowed in boxing. and barring your opponents gloves is one of em.

Exactly.

I believe there is no chance in hell of Marcos Maidana beating Floyd Mayweather period on September 13th in 10oz Powerlocks. Hell, it was a slim chance the 1st time and he did better than expected with 8oz Powerlocks on.

All Maidana can do is fight rough and hit very hard. Take away his main advantages (roughing up the other fighter by getting Kenny Bayless and neutralizing his power even more by having him wear 10oz Powerlocks instead of 8oz MX or Reyes gloves....puncher's gloves....) and it takes any suspense out of the fight for me.

There is no way in the world, not even a lucky punch, that Maidana can beat Floyd on September 13th now because his power has been watered down in these particular set of gloves (Powerlocks):snoop:

Im going with Floyd winning by at LEAST 118-110
