its a poor man's apex - which is funny because apex took the best parts of D1 and bushed the rest while building out their own stake in the FPS scene

never played apex.

I'm more optimistic than most about this game, can't wait to see how it plays

Idk im seeing a bunch of duplicate heroes…

i thought it would make more sense to build your own synths and use the parts you get to upgrade them, sort of like MH. They also said it would be class based in the QA last year not hero based

I’ll try it but i know myself too well… If there’s no carrot on the stick with visual upgrades or a lot of story i know it won’t hold my attention.

Hope it’s successful with the crowd it’s targeting though. I’ll still pick up the Art Book on Amazon.

The gameplay will likely be spot on. The question is can they make an extraction shooter interesting enough to make people care? They can't help themselves, so they're making it Live Service, but Destiny lends itself to that. Will people even want to get on the proverbial hamster wheel for this type of game, regardless of how good it plays? Will people volunteer to get nickel and dimed on a whole new game knowing how Bungie gets down?

That was my point. They could copy and paste the gameplay from Halo or Destiny (likely what happened), and the game will play well. It's the rest that raises all the questions.
