Does this really surprise anyone?
This country is still largely segregated by race: neighborhoods, schools, churches, social places, etc.
Exactly, lets re-examine this 50 years from now. I dunno, I pick my friends like I pick fruit so I suppose I look at this study in those terms. Its totally fine to know and be cool with whites that's natural in a diverse environment such as ours but I don't think its the obligation of black people to be friends with white people just to simulate a more integrated world. Lets just have some dialogue and understand each other first, hardly even got enough solidarity in our own community but nikkaz worried about how diverse our friends are. Doesn't even take class into account, Paul Wall isn't some anomoly in Texas there's lots of white people like him that's cool as shyt with black people, spanish and black, and many of those situations fall under class too I swear this feels like the laziest study ever.

I wouldn't say that I go out with the intent of having one of every friend or some shyt like that but if someone is from a background that is relatively foreign to me i'm like
and I often end up being friends with them just from conversing about that type of shyt.

I feel like having a variety of friends leads to a better understanding of other people, cultures and more importantly, history.
We should be united by now. Focused on survival of the race and preservation of the planet and it's resources, while also trying to figure out faster than light travel so that we can venture out into the universe. Our sun is just ONE star. ONE fukking star and not even a big one. There has to be other shyt out there, it's not logical to believe otherwise.

Mah 3 closest friends on da planet are all different races. I really don't eam consider dem friends. Dey're more like brothers. It's actually kinda funny/coo because dey each represent a part of mah life. One I grew up wit, one I grew a brotherhood bond wit through many years of martial arts, and one who shares da same passion for art as I do. All of em have da same type of honor code n similar perspectives on life (morals,etc.) too. And dey all know about each other through me.
Pretty dope now dat I sit n think about it.
