Couldn't open the first link, gotta update my browser later.
2nd link:
"Swain accused the race-centric, taxpayer-supported caucus of turning a blind eye on a mounting pile of data that reveals illegal immigration is harming low-income, low-skilled black Americans." Sounds like a class issue. Low skilled workers are ALWAYS going to get priced out. Key phrase is low skill.
3rd link:
Is about 200 immigrant workers getting laid off. Not legal workers losing their jobs because of an immigrant raid
I say all that to say my original point stands. And it wasn't directed at you or the OP. I just hate when pundits talk about these issues and do not cite SPECIFIC examples. Ones we could put our heads together on and actually fix and use as a case study for the future.
I'm not sure what you mean that this is a class issue as if to dismiss it, I thought it was understood that this was a class issue, the point is that illegal immigrants depress wages for low skilled native workers, a lot of the people pushing immigration reform are in the business world and in the upper class where immigration is good for them and they do not care what impact it has on low class workers, so the argument, at least the one I'm making, is definitely based on class
and I don't get what you mean by low skilled workers always get screwed??? So that is something we just need to accept? that is your rebuttal to the assertion that illegal immigration hurts low skilled workers??? my rebuttal to your rebuttal is why don't you go eat a dikk
Maybe you need to read the story again, the point of the last article is that there were 200 good jobs at a steel factory that were taken by illegals, the 200 illegals had to be laid off becuase the government did a paperwork raid and the illegals could not privide paperwork so the company had to lay them off
those were 200 jobs that could have been and now filled by native workers or legal immigrants, so IMO this is a clear example of illegal immigrant taking jobs, I'm not sure how much more specific you can get
