That's what I'm talking about...Detroit is in a unique position when compared to other failing cities. It has major teams in all of the pro sports, has many structures already built, near canada, major airport, public transit, easy to trade.I hope you all aren't sleeping... visiting Detroit in the future.. when you could have owned some property that tripled in worth in a short time frame.

shyt is no brainer...I know many of you guys can get a loan for 20K and buy a property or 2. I am literally in the process of dumping some domains to get a property out there right now.

I'm pretty sure you have some hookups with contractors up there to make things even easier on your end. I got a friend overseas who is looking to invest in Detroit as well. Probably heading up there sometime next month to check it out for myself.

I'd have to look into it but the back taxes are usually an arm and a leg, then renovation, and finding buildings that are structurally sound that aren't too much. It's doable. Finding tenants I would imagine isn't the easiest so you may be sitting on un rented properties for a minute. I don't know much about the local re market there.
If I could find some nice sized brick buildings, that I could put commercial space and apartments or condo's in, I'd be happy camper.
