Spurs were never really a great team that dealt with all the pressure, media hype, etc except for that 2005 team. They are a operate under the radar type team/org...it's the main reason why they couldn't not only repeat but make it back to the Finals in consecutive seasons. It's also why their fan base hangs on to their precious regular season win totals.

Spurs are no doubt a great franchise and have been the 2nd best franchise since Jordan quit in 98.

ya they did say that shyt and granted i was happy we were winning but all time greatest fukk that.

Even if we would of won my thing against that was okc had a harder match up for the playoffs dallas and lakers they went thru.

If we went that route like they did and swept everybody and won it all. Then sure you can make a argument bout it

It's all about role players stepping up...Lakers role players didn't in 2nd rnd, Spurs role players didn't in West Finals, and the OKC role players didn't in the Finals...but the Heat role players did in the Finals.

Funny how Gasol and Bynum had higher usage rates and FGA this year despite "Kobe not using them".

The truth is all three of them had to carry a bigger load this past season because of a lack of depth. There was NO perimeter scoring outside of Kobe.
