Summary: -Mansa Musa takes the pilgrimage to mecca and willingly overpays for items in Egypt to show Mali's wealth while Egyptians and Arabs gather in the streets to watch him
-Sultan of Egypt wanted him to bow and kiss his feet as a sign of respect, Musa said "no"
- After making the trip on his way back, they (he went with atleast 20k people) get lost and some of his crew died from exhaustion and being killed by Arabic highway robbers
- When he's finally back to Egypt, hes ironically low on funds and his Arabic brothers and sisters in Islam overcharge him for everything and treat the Malians disrespectfully despite the Malians showing them nothing but love and gratitude originally

He also owned 50,000 slaves and made tremendous wealth from that
:mjlol:You made this comment, yet some are replying with anti Islam after you.

Edit: quick google based on your summary, a lot of that source is from a book by Michael A. Gomez

African Dominion: A New History of Empire in Early and Medieval West Africa, by Michael A. Gomez (Princeton: Princeton University Press, 2018)
A review of the book says :

In conjunction with this discussion of slavery, Gomez tackles the idea of race during this period. He notes that “blackness” was not the defining aspect of a slave in Islamic culture at the time, but rather his or her proximity to a centre of “civilization.”

Many Black people convert to Islam knowing what the Arabs think and do to us.

The oldest manuscript (Sanaa) which arguable led to the curation of the Qu'ran was written by people that if you saw them today, you would refer to them as black/African.

We are not the only group of people on this earth that are subjugated by others and still abide by said oppressive customs and practices of said people

The Arab slave trade was most active in West Asia, North Africa, and Southeast Africa, and rough estimates place the number of black Africans enslaved in the twelve centuries prior to the 20th century at between 11.5 million to 15 million.

Why did his Arabic brothers in Islam extort him after he showed them love:patrice:
:gucci: Egypt was ruled by the Mamluks by that time who mostly were of Turkic origin.

That sultan he met is named Al Nasir Muhammad

He was born in Cairo at Qal'at al-Jabal (Citadel of the Mountain).[4][5] His father Qalawun was of Turkic origin from a Kipchak tribe, and his mother Ašlūn was the daughter of a Mongolnotable named Šaktāy.[6] An-Nasir Muhammad was raised and behaved in Mongol fashion until the age of 29
Him trying to force Musa to bow to him is totally unIslamic

And even then, the same book says they ended up helping him

However, Al-Nasir Muhammad returned Musa's earlier show of generosity with gifts of his own
