Not true. Just youthful exuberance. A 6’5 star SG trying to guard Kyrie all game was just stupid. He’d even be better guarding Luka.

But just get Ant off them dudes and Minnesota should win this series. Might need to start NAW over Conley. NAW/Daniels on Luka/kyrie. Ant just chillin on D should avg 30.

Now if he doubles down and comes back still on Kyrie

What minny can hang their hats on is neither edwards nor Kat had a superstar game and they had a shot to win the game. If they show up better they can win it.

But they also got 35 from Slow Mo and McDaniels.

Dallas got better looks all game long and they only made six threes. I don't know what Minny has to feel good about after this one.

It's funny that DAL and MIN defended the exact opposite, MIN chose to not give up the corner 3 whereas DAL chose to load up on Ant and live with McDaniels getting the corner 3.

Both strategies loosely "worked" but MIN is probably kicking themselves bc they made a lot of dumb mistakes every time they were in an advantageous position. McDaniels leaving his feet for no reason for the TO that led to the PJ 3 late game was huge. And obviously, Ant and Conley's decision makings were horrible thru out.

Ant was horrible, he can't guard Kyrie and be the leading offensive force.

Man the game today reminds you of how great of slashers dudes like MJ, Wade, AI, Rose were. How Ant has to probe the defense to create a lane to slash, the nikkas I mentioned were all gone by the 2nd dribble and didn't need to probe shyt. They got where they wanted to at will, no matter how the defense focused on them.

Shyt.....I'm bout to argue Luka is in that class too, and with an unorthodox-style.

I heard Skip argue earlier today, Luka gets into the middle of the lane (wit his herky-jerky offense) whenever he wants, and I didn't believe it, til I really sat there and watched him tonight (specifically in the 1st-half). He was having his way, gettin to the middle of the lane, and getting his shot, or a pass off, whenever he wanted to. If he's able to do that at his slow ass pace, I don't see why an Ant struggles to do so.

Ant had his worst game this playoffs and they were still a blown goaltending call from possibly winning or going to O.T.

You make a good point. I’d probably hide him on Derrick Jones, Tim Hardaway or whomever they bring in at SF though.

Gobert probably wouldn’t play quite as much and I’d let McDaniels absorb some of those minutes he’s a better matchup for this series anyway. Gobert doesn’t give them enough offensively.

Luka is just a master of angles, leverage, momentum, and timing. Plus he’s strong so he just needs half a step and then leans his body on you and gets you stuck in the mud.
